A Brutal End is the sixth and final quest in a quest chain issued by Miloh, a quest giver in the city of Whitebridge.

Quest Summary

Miloh has decided that it is time to strike a hard blow to the hillmen that live southeast of Baerlon. He tasks the player to go kill the chieftain and bring back proof of the deed.

When the player presents the scalp of the hillmen chieftain to Miloh, he will offer one of three different arm armors as a reward.

Starting the Quest

Miloh will greet a player when they enter the room, assuming they are of a level eligible for the quest (< 30 ^verify?). Miloh will still greet players under level 10 but will tell them that they are too inexperienced for his tasks.

Saying 'quest' will result in Miloh providing an explanation of your current task.

Walkthrough ahead

You say 'quest' Miloh glares around him. Miloh says 'I do indeed have a task for you today, a special one.' Miloh says 'You did so well with sending a message to Roland, I think you are up for cutting the head off these hillmen nuisances.' Miloh says 'Those fools have elected a particularly brutal chieftan and it falls to you to put him down, <playername>.' Miloh says 'He lives among them in the hills near Baerlon and likely has some good equipment that you are free to do with as you wish.' Miloh says 'Put an end to his rule, <playername>, and return here for your just reward.' Miloh says 'There is also a bounty on those filthy hillmen warriors near Baerlon, <playername>.'

Once you have the required scalp simply return to Miloh and turn it in to him.

Walkthrough ahead

give scalp miloh You give the death scalp of the hillmen chieftain slain in Andor to Miloh. Miloh licks his mouth and smiles. Miloh bows before you. Miloh says 'Truly, <playername>, you have surpassed my expectations. I won't say I didn't expect you to return, but...' Miloh coughs loudly. Miloh says 'Anywho, you have done a great service to the area today. I fear you are beyond my skills to teach now, sadly.' Miloh says 'Down in Murandy I have a cousin named Lobrane. He hangs out in Lugard usually, in a shop there. Go see him and he'll have some work for you.' Miloh says 'What can I give you as a reward today, <playername>? Are you an abser, a comboer, or a dodger?' say dodger You say 'dodger' Someone gives you a set of cloth sleeves. Miloh says 'These sleeves should be just your size.'

This quest rewards one of three different arm armors on completion, based on the player's response. Each item is the same tier of armor available through the armor crafting guilds and tends towards a specific playstyle.

Note: This quest shares a reward prompt with the previous and next quests in Miloh's tasks. It is currently unknown what will happen if the reward is not claimed before completing the next quest in the series.

Follow-Up Quests

After completing Miloh's final quest, A Brutal End, he will say that the player is beyond his ability to teach any more and refers the player to his cousin Lobrane D'shaq in Lugard for additional tasks. However, Lobrane does not offer any quests at this time (not yet implemented).^Apr-2018
