[view][talk]

A renegade commander is a human smob found in the Blighted Forest north of the Ruined Keep.

Description[]

"A renegade commander fingers an ugly scar.

A tall and chiseled man of arms, this commander radiates enforced order. A thin, ugly scar runs from his left eyebrow, down his cheek and neck, and disappears under his breastplate. Failing to jump when hearing the first sound of the word would likely cause a list of additional chores around the next campsite."

Keywords: commander, kenny, male, renegade, smob

Locations[]

Zone Room Qty. Notes
Deep Within the Blasted Lands Hidden Chamber 1

Doors: treeknot/treedoor

The Renegade Commander loads inside a huge tree in the Blighted Forest heading north from the Ruined Keep towards Shayol Ghul and Thakan'dar.

Strategies[]

The smob loads with 5 fugitive soldiers, who will assist and rescue, but faceoff does not apply. The smob can kick opponents intermittently. On some percent chance upon entry to the room, the smob will also attack someone, or possibly just horses (e.g., A renegade commander says 'I will not be taken alive!! Die horse!'). Warriors can also taunt up to 2 minions to lure them out of the room, but the smob will yell to announce when this happens (A renegade commander bellows 'SOMEONE KILL THAT WARRIOR!!'), which could be risky if Shadowspawn have been seen or detected nearby recently.

Because the mobs rescue, Freeze is not particularly effective, and Blind is instead a superior weave strategy to isolate the smob. The smob himself is vulnerable to status ailments due to his relatively low level. Due to the mobol noted above regarding horses, it is not recommended to bring horses into his room for their safety. One or two channelers should be able to weave him dead, and a traditional smob group can manage him easily enough even without a channeler using the tactics noted here.

Loads[]
