A spectral king is a spirit-type smob loading in the City in the Blight.

Description[]

"An impressive spectral king rests in stately manor upon his throne.

Bedecked in regal fashion, his ghostly form still imposes a thoughtful and fierce display. Beyond all his posturing and regality, though, haggard eyes peer off into oblivion, sadly recounting a doomed past for all eternity."

Keywords: king, male, smob, spectral

Locations[]

Zone Room Qty. Notes
City in the Blight Eastern Assembly Hall, Before the Stone Dais 1

Doors: None

Strategies[]

Six snow-ghost minions load in the smob room, and initially the king will not be visible. Engaging one of the ghosts in combat or sitting in the throne will cause the smob to appear. The minions will not rescue the smob, and faceoff does not apply. A traditional smob group can target and kill him using a brute-force method. He is a spirit so he requires a hardened or honed weapon to hit, and his gear is dropped to the ground upon his death.

A single abs player will be able to solo the smob most easily by flee-hitting most or all of the minions dead, then killing the king. A warrior will have an easier time killing the smob by going berserk, with the usual attached risks. The room is also hideable, so Backstab is a viable strategy once the smob appears.

When the smob is present, weaving in the room will trigger emote damage in the form of an earthquake, which causes minor damage but interrupts weaving. This does not occur every time, but it does proc at a high enough frequency that killing the smob using weaving is challenging.
