A tall thief is a human smob found in the southern part of The Spine of the World.
Description[]
"A man garbed completely in black stands here, glaring at you.
A tall man stands before you, with a sneer on his face. He is garbed in black, with a small dagger that flickers as he tosses it from hand to hand. The man says nothing, but he walks slowly toward you, his sneer getting wider, and his dagger coming closer."

Strategies[]
The smob is located inside a cave complex, under the stone and levee doors if approaching from the south side, or the boulder and rocks from the north side. Several thieves can be found in the caves, each of which load 10 gold crowns. The tall thief wanders alone between several rooms, including above the levee door. He will often hide and may attempt to backstab players who enter his room. If engaged, he will often throw three to four throwing knives.
Flocks of ravens are often found near the caves, which can alert the Dark Side that a human is entering the smob. Several doors bar the exits to both ends of the cave complex, so it is not uncommon for those attempting the smob to be trapped by a raiding party.
The most difficulty part to defeating this smob is getting him to appear. You will either need 99% Notice to target him, or a player will have to be at Battered health or lower in his room to bait the smob into becoming visible (verify?). Because he can backtab players, he can be risky to solo, but doing so can be an effective way to farm high-end dodge equipment and short blades for rogue players.
