When successfully used on a target, Freeze will encase them in a block of solid ice. As with other status weaves, the chance of successfully weaving Freeze on a target may be lower if the target has higher WillpowerVerify?. Level certainly plays a significant impact; it is possible that the weave simply cannot be successfully used on a target of equal or higher levelVerify?.

The timer cannot be started if the channeler is engaged on an enemy, but it can be woven on an engaged target; if the channeler begins the weave while unengaged and is subsequently attacked, the weave can complete normally. The weave can be initiated upon oneself, but it appears impossible to successfully complete the weave against oneself.

Targets encased in the ice cannot input any commands, including checking their score and stats. They can, however, see when other mobs and players enter or exit their room. They can also perceive all communication (e.g., say, tell, narrate, chat) and emotes normally.

Freeze cannot be broken by normal attacks or combat skills. It can be broken by Call Lightning, Fireball (but not Flame Strike), Hammer of Air, Ice Spikes, Incinerate, or Sonic Boom. These weaves shatter the ice and cause regular damage or regular effects. Of note, Frozen targets cannot be the target of any other weave except one that penetrates the ice, including harmful status ailments (e.g., Contagion, Poison, Sleep) as well as beneficial weaves (e.g., Armor, Strength).
