Hit points (HPs) are a measure of the health of a player character or mob. The amount of HPs a character or mob has depends on their Constitution (Con) and Level.
HP Rolls[]
Add table or equations for HP rolls by Con
CON | Base HPs1 | Roll Range | Lvl 30 Min | Lvl 50 Max |
---|---|---|---|---|
19 | 62-72 | 11-13 | 359 | 422 |
18 | 59-68 | 10-12 | 329 | 390 |
17 | 54-68 | 9-12 | 300 | 390 |

10 | 33-43 | ? | ? | ? |
9 | 30-41 | 3-7 | 111 | 230 |
1 - HPs at Level 3, after Statting. Level 3 HP ranges per CON need verification.
-Note: All characters roll from 0-2 HPs after level 30 regardless of Con. This can add anywhere from 0-42 HPs by level 51. But in general, level 30 hps are around 20 * Con, and then assume an average addition of 20 hps from leveling to 51.
Note: Male and female channelers are capped at a 280 hit points maximum, regardless of Constitution score, implemented on August 2nd, 2017. Effectively, a character should have approximately this amount with 14 Constitution by level 30 assuming average rolls, and 15 Constitution will reach the cap by level 30 with anything except consistently minimum rolls.
HP Regeneration[]
You can improve your rate of regeneration by sitting, resting, or sleeping. Regeneration is decreased by hunger and thirst and by fighting (being engaged upon opponent). Be careful while sleeping unguarded, such as when out in the wilderness. Warders who are under the effect of the warder bond have increased regeneration. It is believed that Myrddraal have increased regeneration in the darkness and decreased regeneration in daylight.

Bleeding[]
You wish that your wounds would stop BLEEDING so much!
Bleeding occurs while in Beaten status,
of total hit points.
When bleeding a character leaves bloody traces when exiting a room (non-city/outdoor) on foot.
Stunned (0 HPs)[]
When your current HPs drop to exactly 0, you are stunned. If your opponent disengages or you are otherwise left in a position of no longer being attacked, you will eventually recover consciousness.
Incapacitated (-1 to -2 HPs)[]
When your current HPs drop to between -1 and -2, you are incapacitated. An incapacitated (incapped) character is unable to move (or enter commands/receive tells/etc) and will continue to lose 1 hit point per tic, until Mortally Wounded and then Dead unless treated or healed. A character or mob can be revived from this state if treated by a character with at least Level 1 in Wisdom Lore or if subjected to any of the four Healing Weaves by a channeler.
Mortally Wounded (-3 HPs)[]
Mortally wounded players will expire on the next game tic unless treated or healed. Mobs remain at mortally wounded and do not expire on subsequent game tics.
Dead (-4 HPs or Lower)[]
When your current HPs drop to -4 or lower, you are dead.
