A Homeland (also known as a "Stock" for Trollocs) is a birthplace (or animal base-type for Trollocs) for player characters which impacts their stats during the rolling process. Different homelands can modify both the base rolls as well as modify min and max stats available.

Homelands can also be used for roleplaying purposes, though there is generally neither any advantage nor disadvantage associated with a particular homeland in this regard.

Recent Immortal evaluation has determined that certain "homeland-class" combinations are obsolete and characters from these homelands may have their homelands changed without cost.

Darkside

Trolloc homelands were not initially part of the trolloc character creation process. While humans initially had a select group of approximately 5 homelands to choose from, all trollocs came from the same homeland. This potentially complicated the process of attempting to create specific play-style characters such as abs, combo, or dodge characters. Ultimately, the trolloc homelands have likely increased the ease of trolloc players establishing their characters, but the initial implementation was plagued by numerous problems. All trolloc characters who signed into the game were immediately forced to choose a homeland and knowledge of the underlying distributions of these homelands was yet unknown at this time.

Bearish - Allows up to 21 strength, maximum of 17 constitution. Low moves. An potential option for warriors as rogues and hunters are not allowed the 21 strength. All bearish homeland-class combinations are now considered obsolete and players with historic characters may have their homeland changed. The bearish homeland is associated with 21 strength warriors, but significant sacrifices were made in hitpoints, movement points, and overall generosity of stat distribution. The initial implementation of this homeland was plagued by numerous revisions of characters stats and ultimately the allowance for change to another homeland through the Obsolete Homelands process.

Boarheaded - Perfect abs stock, generates easy 19 19s for warriors and hunters..

Ramshorned - Balanced stat distribution, max of 19 str 19 con for warriors. Commonly used to stat combo hunters. Favors mentals over physicals, as well as higher base mvs.

Wolfish - Darkside rogue option. Favors dexterity over mentals, and works for a combo/dodge char of any class.

Beaked - Has highest int stat and usually averages high mentals. Can roll good combo/dodge of any class with good mentals. The beaked-rogue homeland-class combination is now considered obsolete. Historic players may have their homeland changed.
