Lances encompasses both the Warrior skill and the weapon class it enables one to use.
Practicing this skill gives residual practices to Spears, Javelins, and Polearms.
All lances are compatible with the Charge skill and may be mended with a sandstone.
When mounted, lance damage is increased to (X+1)dY. For example - a 4d7 weapon will be 5d7 mounted.
