Movement points (MVs) are a measure of how far a player character can travel.

Regen

Movement points regen on every tic, at a rate which depends on the character's Race, Position, Encumbrance, and whether the char is hungry and/or thirsty.

Human/Seanchan

The base Standing regen rate is 20 MVs per tic.
The base Sitting regen rate is 22 MVs per tic.
The base Resting regen rate is 25 MVs per tic.
The base Sleeping regen rate is 30 MVs per tic.
Base rates are lowered by 1 point per incremental increase in Encumbrance levels

Trolloc

The base Standing regen rate is 38 MVs per tic.
The base Sitting regen rate is 41 MVs per tic.
The base Resting regen rate is 47 MVs per tic.
The base Sleeping regen rate is 57 MVs per tic.
Base rates are lowered by 1 point per incremental increase in Encumbrance levels
