The values listed need to be updated, as some are suspected to be wrong. Perhaps a new column listing test date will be useful. Also some items are missing. Need to decide how to deal with 'retooled' foods and trolloc-only foods.

Cooking[]

Should the moboled cooking spots be given their own page, with instructions, all items made, etc, or should it be a part of this? I am inclined to give it its own page, and possibly make it part of the Crafting pages. Thoughts? Russ3Z (talk) 13:24, April 24, 2014 (UTC)

Carrot vs. Brightly Colored Carrot[]

I was doing the Aringill Crier Quests, which references a carrot. I went to the mansion to the south and found a brightly colored carrot, which the crier accepted anyway. I'm wondering if anyone could verify that a carrot exists in-game? Or has it existed before and gotten renamed into a brightly colored carrot? Salamangkero (talk) 07:17, May 26, 2015 (UTC)

The only item is a brightly colored carrot. The wording in the crier quests is often not exact when referencing items or mobs, since it more realistic for someone to just ask for 'a carrot' in general than 'a brightly colored carrot'. Russ3Z (talk) 11:29, May 26, 2015 (UTC)

Plated Food[]

I've been encountering the following plates of food inside cities:

  • a plate of hot stew with some bread
  • a plate of kippered eel
  • a plate of roast beef and jacket potatoes
  • a plate of roast lamb with apple jelly
  • a plate of roast potatoes and turnips
  • a plate of sausages and vegetables
  • a plate of vegetables in tangy sauce
  • a plate with bread and green veined cheese

I do believe there is also a plate of something-something-peppers. Should we also include these in the table on the Food article? Salamangkero (talk) 14:15, June 24, 2015 (UTC)

These items are retooled versions of "a plate of yellow peppers and pork". Some years back, along with the various crafting and sidetrade stuff, the ability to "cook" and "brew" were added. A number of kitchens, food shops, etc have barrels and signs showing how to do this.
I've been thinking about a page or two for this for some time, with instructions, lists of items, etc. For now, however, on the actual Food page, we should probably just make a new section, perhaps titled "Cooking Retools" or something. For reference, check out the kitchen area of the inn in Caemlyn. You should see a sign with instructions.
On a related note, the various city/town pages will need to be updated as well, showing where these cooking/brewing activities can be done. I'll try to whip up something for all these in the next few days, or feel free to start something yourself and we'll hammer out some finished form. Russ3Z (talk) 12:23, June 25, 2015 (UTC)
