[view][talk]

The kennel keeper is a humanoid smob found in the Mountains of Mist.

Description[]

"The kennel keeper protectively looks over his strange creatures.

The kennel keeper shuffles along slowly as he inspects the grotesque beings who reside in the palace kennel. Although he appears to be fond and protective of the pathetic creatures, his housekeeping could use a bit of improvement."

Keywords: keeper, smob, ?

Locations[]

Zone Room Qty. Notes
Mountains of Mist The Kennel 1

Doors: falls, pine (both require significant Pick)

If the zone repops and the doors lock, you can "pull sconce" and open pine to exit.

Strategies[]

The kennel keeper loads with 4 mantis warriors, who will assist and also rescue the smob. Faceoff will apply when you attack the smob's group. The smob and his minions wander and roam the 4x3 kennel area, where 10-15 other mobs load. The rooms in the southeast corner are non-hideable, including the entry room from the south Verify?, but a majority of the rooms in the area are still hideable. The mantis men have mobol coding that includes significant anti-channel code; weaving in the rooms is possible, but as long as any of the mantis men are alive, one of them will interrupt weaving with guaranteed emote damage, so you will need to kill each of them before you can channel. Some of the rooms may have mobol interrupting even without mobs present.Verify? A traditional smob group is a viable tactic, but due to the large number of wandering minions, rescue, and faceoff, a smaller group may have a difficult time killing the smob. If a group is used, specifically targeting the mantis men will allow channelers in the group to be significantly more effective. Otherwise, Backstab is arguably the most viable strategy here, and a solo player can use this tactic to clear the smob without too much trouble.
