Dear Mother and Father,
It's been so long since I have been home, and yet with all the parts of the world I have seen I still hunger for more!
Tonight we have taken rooms at an inn here in the famed city of Amador. Such a wonder to behold, and the Children of the Light are so correctly polite. Tomorrow we will journey southward and then east along the road through countryside, and we expect to see Illian's coastline within a few days.
I would love it if we had the time to go west instead toward the Shadow Coast and then perhaps take ship to Tremalking, but the chaperone you sent with me says a woman of my class has no business among the 'Sea Folk'. I tried to change plans to go to Bandar Eban and take passage on a ship to the islands from there, but you know how it is, changing plans at the last moment.
Once we stop in Illian we will rest a few days while I do some shopping and sightseeing, and then we'll continue home to Mayene. Though I admittedly love travel, I'll admit a pang of longing in my heart to once again see the livery of the Winged Guards.
I hope all is well. Please give my love to all.
