I alluded to some changes coming up with regards to clans in the very near future. Here's the next thing we (Watchers) are working on:
Clan equipment is all over the place. Currently it's possible to get far more than the intended dodge bonus by mix and matching different clan gear. I shouldn't have to elaborate on that too much; Ibiet posted previously about what was technically possible. This ability unfairly penalized lawful players by putting them at an instant deficit when dealing with unlawful players.
Additionally there are items taking up space that are no longer used or may be on storage for the past 4 years such as old master items, things that are no longer used, etc. Really, you just wouldn't believe how this has all spiraled out of control. This project will address that and other equipment issues.
What you will see in the near term is this: Clan trinkets (not armor or def exchange uniform items) will now have 0 bonuses and become no rent. Individual clans will offer exchange for the issue qps, money or a non-clan item of equal value. This is up to the individual clan Imm to decide and implement. If you are not a clan member and have some of this, well, your choices are to turn it into the original clan or to simply lose the gear. Sorry but there's no good way to do this otherwise. I’m sure there will be some suggestions but they are not needed.
They will not ALL happen overnight but it will all happen soon.
After the equipment is under control once again (hopefully VERY soon) the clans will have the option to choose from a "menu", much like the master weapon is now. They will get to choose the item it's based off and where to spend their bonuses. This will be done by clan with the assistance of the assigned clan Imm.
So, the move is towards the clan having more of a say about what they wear and to eliminate the unintended side effect of being able to mix and match for bonuses that were not intended. Hope that makes sense to everyone.
The sooner all this gear is collected the sooner you can choose what you want so get moving!
