Various clans wearing the trinkets of other clans and clan members wearing two copies of their trinket at the same time have caused a lot of grief to both players and immortals alike in the past. Also the clan trinkets were originally designed as small perks for clan members, not as a source of bonus stacking for those ignoring laws of others (i.e. wearing even up to 5 different clan trinkets). Therefore the Watcher Staff has decided to renew the trinket system. This is a continuation to the already implemented change which switched clan uniforms to retooled items.

The changes are as follows:

  • Extra bonuses will be removed from clan trinkets. Instead, they will have the same statistics as the base item in question.
  • Trinkets can be either exchanged at clan head by giving them the base item, or bought with quest points (the price will be lesser than before).
  • Immortals will no longer continue supervising who wears what. However, clans are still encouraged to have rules for people wearing the sigils of their fallen comrades and demand their return or banish/warrant where applicable.
  • Weary merchants (and other exchange mobs) will be updated to allow switching clan item back to its original copy.
  • Small adjustments will be made to certain clothing in the game to compensate the loss of dodge, parry and other bonuses due to this change. (Note: these adjustments will not be announced nor will they match the stacked bonus count some have had in the past by wearing several clan trinkets)

The transition to the new system will take some time as it requires manual work from each clan immortal and the code update for Weary Merchant(s). Each clan will be notified separately once the change has been made for them.
