This is a new means for all clan members to call for a removal vote of someone in their clan, regardless of their rank, regardless of the clan and regardless of which side they play on (human, darkie or seanchan).

  • An expulsion vote is a secret ballot, overseen by the clan immortal and A.N. other immortal.
  • A.N. other immortal would be nominated by the vote initiator(s).
  • An expulsion vote may be initiated by either one clan councillor or 3 clanmembers mailing their clan immortal.
  • An expulsion vote must happen for a good reason, agreed upon by your clan immortal.
  • "I don't like bobby!" won't do.
  • It takes 75% of clanmembers at clanlevel 1 or above to expel someone from a clan.
  • Note: clanlevel 0s do not get a vote.
  • The result, if yes, is an immediate declanning, loss of all qps and loss of [master] flag, if appliccable.
  • An expelled clanmember may re-apply to that clan or any other at any time unless the clan decides otherwise, but will start at the bottom again.
  • Abstentions are not permitted, the time limit for the vote is one week and any non-voters count as a "yes".

This rule should help clans in a number of areas, as it gives all clanmembers a means to rid their clan of people who do not follow the rules, yet believe they are above them. To explain the very last part: making the default vote "yes" for anyone who is not active or does not participate, actually make the votes of active people count a bit more: a good thing.
