Folks, we'd like to recruit more builders, to maintain the zone and world expansion of the mud. As you know, being a builder and having a few zones under your belt is also a mandatory first step to becoming a watcher much further down the line, something that I've (overheard many of you aspire to, so all of you with immortal aspirations are encouraged to apply. I'm not putting a definite number on how many we'll take because it will depend on the quality of the applications. There is also no specific deadline: first come, first serve.

The application process

  • Send a forum mail to the building forum comprising of:
  • 1: The layout, room descriptions and room keywords of a 20 room generic forest (ie not in any particular geographic place) using the wotmud building guide as guideline (find it on the web site under home>how to play>building handbook)
  • 2: The name of any active immortal who can "vouch" for you (ie someone who knows you well and would vouch that you're not prone to cheating, bending the rules to suit yourself, and so on)
  • 3: A bit about yourself, how much time you're likely to have to build and so on, what sort of zones you like, who your characters are, etc

Contrary to what you may have heard, you do not need any technical knowledge to become a builder, you do not need to have played here for years and years, and you do not have to have had experience somewhere else. All you need are a healthy drop of imagination, time on your hands and a damm fine spell checker. Please do not leave anything out OR send them to me as they will invalidate your application. Please do not ask me more questions, everything you need to know is right here =).
