Frowning ever so slightly as she studied the artifact in her palm, the cloaked woman shook her head slightly and kicked her steed back into motion. It had been almost a season since she had found the finely-wrought metal symbol rotting away in a dusty old chest, yet it still maintained its slight warmth. If her research was to be believed, the artifact was a remnant of the Age of Legends and could be used to activate that which otherwise would require both knowledge and the ability to channel.
Starting from the beginning for the hundredth time, she recounted her findings in her head as she slowly rode towards the distant mountains. Theoretically, there was more than one conduit somewhere in the mountain range, but she had her doubts about how many, if any, still stood. As she entered the long range, her eyes couldn't help but drift toward a lone peak, jutting impossibly high in the sky and disappearing into the clouds. Putting that train of thought firmly out of her mind, she began from the beginning yet again as she rode.
