... has come to the Braem Wood, as a (trial) method of earning money. To do so, buy a fishing net, and drop it in one of the many streams and rivers in or near the Braem Wood. Then wait for the fish to get caught in the net, and give them to the wandering fishmonger who can usually be found in the vicinity of the Whitebridge docks.
Please note that each river and stream has its own pattern of when fish are likely to be caught, and that leaving a net sitting there for a week does not mean that you'll have a bazillion fish caught in your net =). In fact, it's even your call how long to leave your net there in the first place, as someone may come along and steal it or the fish...
... more economic activities to follow in due course.
This is slightly updated with feedback.
Instead of, as was the case, having to give a fish to the fishmonger, wait 1 sec, get money, give another fish, you can now give fish/give fish/give fish/give fish as fast as you like and he'll still pay you for each one. You must give them one by one though, ie give all.fish fishmonger won't work.
Also, some additions. You should now start seeing various fruit trees, vines and so on around the world at appropriate places. These trees look different in different seasons, and during the harvest months they produce fruit inside, which can be taken and sold at market or kept as foodstuffs or whatever.
The idea is really to add more of an element of realism for profitmaking activities. Ie instead of going somewhere 'because the zone has popped', you might also go somewhere 'because it's the right time of year'. This is an ongoing thing, vines (ie grapes) are almost done but there are a lot more things like this which will just be done slowly over time.
