As you'll be aware, there has been an effort to ensure that these are set for the correct reasons and in the correct manner recently. Specifically, the guideline was created that no warrants should be created without direct first-hand evidence of the warrantable offence.
Now, whilst we want them to be fair (as per above), we also don't want to have this new rule make difficulties for roleplay and the "true-to-books" realism of the mud, and the two will occasionally conflict. Truth is, we're not neccessarily too upset at this, but we'd at least like to be consulted first, rather than see new warrantable offences just "announced" and have us the deal with the flack for things which conflict in some way.
In this case, where your clan wants to warrant someone for something that falls foul of direct first-hand evidence, then you must mail the staff via the staff forums and make absolutely sure that it is ok to do so. You should also publicly inform folks via a rp post on the "Tales of the Light" forum.
Thanks for your understanding.
