Syntax: channel 'ward object' <itemname>

Effect

Ward Object must be cast with a target, and the target must be an object in the channeler's inventory. Warded objects that are dropped to the ground cannot be picked up by other players. The weave stays permanent on an object unless Remove Warding is weaved on that object.

It is important to note that mobs are perfectly capable of picking up warded objects.
