This Warding purportedly makes a target less recognizable to enemy forces. It has been reported to create a brief illusion that removes the color and asterisks (**) around the target's name when they enter a room with Shadowspawn present. However, this effect is spoiled because it seems that Shadowspawn who look in the room or look at the target will see their name normally and see a shimmering blue aura around the subject.Verify?
A more useful effect of the Warding vs. Evil weave, and one previously less well known, is that it has the ability to temporarily inhibit Shadowspawn from attacking the subject. The success rate of the weave varies based on which type of Shadowspawn is subjected to it, with most Trollocs or weaker Shadowspawn (such as corpses of fallen Fades) being prevented from attacking at roughly 45-50% of time time, while more cunning Shadowspawn such as Fades are only prevented from attacking about 5-6% of the time.
Of note, this effect at preventing Shadowspawn mob attacks is determined individually for each creature, and at each aggro pulse (about every 5-6 seconds of real time). Enemies who resist the effect and attack will still cause other Shadowspawn who personally failed to attack to instead assist their fellow creatures, causing them to still enter in combat, although with a slight delay for assisting.
